ALTA is the educational arm of HIGH BLUFF Press, LLC, dedicated to inspiring writers of all ages to find their voice, strengthen their literacy, and transform their ideas into authorship through FREE workshop.
ALTA’s workshops emphasize creativity, structure, discipline, and the joy of authorship. Every participant learns how their unique voice matters and how writing can become a lifelong tool for expression, leadership, and learning.

The ALTA Writing Workshops are designed for teens, young adults, and new authors who want to learn how to turn ideas into finished written work. The program teaches the complete creative arc using ALTA’s signature framework:
The 4 Ps of Authorship
Production — Idea generation, creative spark, story development
Pen — Drafting, outlining, character building, structure
Paper — Revision, editing, formatting, preparing a manuscript
Publication — Understanding the publishing process, ISBNs, cover design, printing, and distribution
Participants leave with - A stronger sense of their writing voice – A clearer understanding of the writing process – A pronounced understanding of idea generating through publication steps – An increased confidence in their literacy and creative skill.

Our mission is to empower authors, enrich literacy, and publish work that helps people find their voice, their direction, and their confidence. We believe stories can illuminate the world, one writer at a time.
About The Founder
Brett Seekins is a lifelong student, committed writer, artist avid reader, and committed observer of people, organizations, and leadership. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, church, the outdoors, basketball, art, music, any beach, and, by his own admission, life as a “closet” drummer.
Seekins’ 40-year career can be summed up in two words: Helping Others. His work includes time served in government, government contracting, both non-profit and for-profit entities, public accounting, board service, volunteer work, and healthcare executive leadership licensed as a Maine Multi-Level Nursing Home Administrator.
He has worked with organizations ranging from large employers with thousands of employees to smaller teams of one hundred. He has led companies with gross earnings between $8M and $18M while responsible for employee roles exceeding 200.
Across those settings, he has seen the great, the good, the bad, and the difficult sides of business management, leadership, and ownership. These experiences continue to shape his belief that organizations become stronger when they value employees and customers first.
Seekins first non-fiction published work, “I Don’t Have To Be Right - Effective Perspectives in Leadership” explores business and leadership challenges supplanted with his hallmark business philosophies providing thoughtful remedies during those moments that engage and uplift the team through transition to successful outcomes.
